I have not been efficient about your hotel arrangements.  I just tried
to make a reservation at the Aggie Inn, which is our usual place for
visitors.  Unfortunately, it is full on Friday.  It may be best to
remain at La Quinta, since some of the other hotels which are downtown
have issues with noise.  I apologize for not getting this done earlier.

From your schedule, it seems as if I should meet you at the Hertz car
rental office at 5000 Chiles Road on Wednesday.  I have a class from 4-5
pm.  Could I meet you there at 5:30 pm?  

I will pick you up by car and we can have some dinner if you like.  We
can also stop at my house and get an extra bike for you, so that you
will have a bike while in Davis.  (This would reduce your time from
hotel to physics department from a 30-40 minute walk to 10-15 minutes
bike.)
